UKeiG, the UK electronic information Group, is committed to encouraging and championing excellence and innovation across the profession.

In support of the continuing professional development of library and information students and early career professionals UKeiG is delighted to announce the Early Career Award, alongside a range of bursaries to encourage research, information exchange and best practice.

These include:

*UKeiG Early Career Award: The UKeiG Early Career Award celebrates extraordinary and inspirational enterprise in early-career professionals who are members of CILIP. A prize of £1,000 and a trophy will be awarded.

*MSc/MA Dissertation Bursaries: These bursaries provide an excellent opportunity for Library and Information Science MSc/MA students to present their postgraduate research at a conference and/or to publish an article highlighting their postgraduate research activity.

*Student or Early Career Professional Conference Bursaries: UKeiG is offering five discretionary bursaries of £250 to support current library and information students or early-career professionals to attend a relevant conference.

*Study Visit Bursaries: UKeiG is keen to support collaborative working and the benchmarking of good practice by offering these five bursaries of £200 to support study visits by students or early career professionals.

A key criterion for all applications is some element of digital information or information science. As the UK electronic information Group our primary focus is developments and innovations in anything digital, embracing search and information retrieval, web content development, online resources and services and digital literacy, for example.

All of the UKeiG bursaries are open to:

*UK undergraduate and postgraduate students in UK schools or departments of librarianship, information studies, information science, knowledge management or information management running courses accredited by CILIP

*UK early-career professionals
