I’m a little late to this discussion, but looking at our 20M searches a month bears out Mia’s response below - with museums it’s very specific collection searches. For archives: very very specific searches.
The *long tail* is everything; almost all comes in via Google. IMHO, get everything on the CollMS crawled AND do the stories of the iconics well.
