*with apologies for cross-posting*
Well folks, awards seem to be everywhere! If like me you are brain-numbed after last night’s BAFTAs, you are probably longing for something a bit more cerebral and relevant. Here at LILAC, we can certainly match the elegance and chic of last night’s big winner “Roma” (and we do it without all that nasty dog mess – watch the film if you don’t know what I am talking about – it’s great entertainment if you have the patience for a black & white 2.5 hour subtitled Mexican film).
Anyway … here’s a gentle reminder that the deadline for the Information Literacy awards isn’t too far off – it’s March 1st (that’s St David’s day if you are here in Wales :O)
These prestigious awards will be presented at the LILAC conference dinner in Nottingham on April 25th 2019.
1. The IL Award honours an individual or team whose work has made a significant contribution to IL over the past 3 years
2. The Digital Information Literacy Award rewards the best online resource of 2018 which promotes IL skills
3. The Rowena Macrae-Gibson Student Award enables 2 students to attend the entire LILAC conference, April 24-26.
Nominate your colleagues or nominate yourselves – please get those nominations flooding in! Full details at https://www.lilacconference.com/awards
And don’t forget that deadline – it’s March 1st! (and don’t forget to watch “Roma" on Netflix)
Best wishes,
Nigel Morgan (LILAC External Relations Manager)
