A three-month PhD placement opportunity is currently available at the British Library on ‘Assessing the impact of the British Library’s major heritage acquisitions’.
For the purposes of this project, heritage acquisitions are considered to be items of a unique or highly distinctive status used as primary sources for research. They may be large (e.g. an archive comprising hundreds of boxes) or small (e.g. a printed book, musical score or single letter). This placement will assess the internal and external impact of materials of this kind acquired by the British Library between 2010 and 2018.
General information on the PhD placement scheme is available at https://www.bl.uk/news/2019/january/phd-research-placements-2019. Details of this specific placement can be found at https://bit.ly/2TMwUVd. The closing date for applications is 17.00 on Monday 18 February 2019.
