CILIP Government Information Group are offering a rare opportunity to visit the House of Commons Members’ Library on Friday 15th February 2-4pm.
You’ll get a peek inside a set of six suites, which make up this historic and ornate space, and hear from staff from different teams that support the wider service, providing an insight into the work and role of the Library.
The Library provides an impartial information and research service for Members of Parliament and their staff, in support of their parliamentary duties. 2018 marked the 200th anniversary of its foundation. For more information about the Commons Library, please see the new website (commonslibrary.parliament.uk) which hosts all of their published research in one place, including research briefings, debate packs and Insights. You can sign up for topic based alerts on the subjects you are interested in.
