The School of Global Affairs and Public Policy (GAPP) at the American University in Cairo is now accepting application for Fall 2019. The Yousef Jameel GAPP Public Leadership Fellowship offers a unique opportunity for a fully funded Master's degrees in a number of disciplines. Here is a brief description of our fellowship program.
 
The Yousef Jameel GAPP Public Leadership Fellowship
 
In May 2011 Mr. Yousef Jameel bonding with the School of Global Affairs and Public Policy (GAPP) has decided to initiate “The Yousef Jameel GAPP Public Leadership Fellowship Program” with the overall objective of building the capacity of young competent Egyptian nationals in the areas of public policy and public administration, and preparing them for leadership roles in Egypt post the January 25 revolution.
 
By supporting 300 fellows in 12 cohorts of 25 Egyptian graduate students per year, the Yousef Jameel Public Leadership Program will have contributed to creating a cadre of well educated, competent graduates ready to take on the responsibility of affecting change in the Egyptian society.
 
A selected number of exceptional candidates are to receive a complete fellowship to pursue a Master’s degree in one of the following six programs at AUC:
-  Master of Arts in Migration and Refugee Studies with concentrations in migration, and in refugee studies (MA)
-  Master of Arts in Middle East Studies (MA) 
-  Masters of Arts in International Human Rights Law
-  Masters of Public Policy (MPP)
-  Masters of Public Administration (MPA)
-  Masters of Global Affairs (MGA)
-  Masters of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication
-  Masters of Law in International and Comparative Law (LLM)

To Apply
There are 2 applications that you have to fill out:
1.       Graduate application (Fall 2018)
To be filled out online by creating user name and password on the following link https://www.applyweb.com/auc/menu.ftl  and filling the application out, you also have to pay the application fees by credit card online to make sure it's submitted. 
 
2.       Fellowship Application
To be filled out online with no fees on the following link after filling out the graduate application and receiving an AUC ID: https://ssb.aucegypt.edu:4444/PROD/twbkwbis.P_GenMenu?name=homepage 
 
You should also take the required exams:
-  International TOEFL Exam (IBT) either online at www.ets.org, or at AmidEast Center (Tel: 19263 - Address: 38 Mohie El Din Abou El Ezz Street, Dokki-Giza)
OR 
-  International English Language Testing System (IELTS) either online at www.ielts.org, or at the British Council www.britishcouncil.org/egypt.htm Tel: 19789- Address: Heliopolis Branch:  4 El Minya Street, Heliopolis, Cairo Agouza Branch: 192 El Nil Street Agouza, Cairo
 
Deadline for graduate application is February 1st, 2019.
Deadline for Fellowship application is February 15th, 2019.
Please note that it takes up to 7 days once you receive your ID to get the online fellowship web application process started.
