What are you referring to as a post mortem ?
Are you referring what they were asked to present at the IRIS DB along with other activities
(you are member of that DB and know the context that they responded to).
I attach those slides which were full of praise for GridPP people who helped.
Please look at conclusion slide and last slide to see this.
This is not “unappreciative” at all in context.
Rather the opposite
George subsequently clarified to the DB (as you know) that they could have finished DC2 on Grid,
but that the US HPC agenda made this moot

The simple issue we have since identified is that it is clear that use of the Grid appears
quite difficult to a lot of communities - and that we should only be on-boarding
communities who have a problem which the Grid solves as per DaveBs mail, and who accept
the amount of work they will need to do (at least we need a higher threshold
for this in future)

The intention is that this would introduce them to some of the aspects of the Grid (e.g. CVMFS) but still keep it easily accessible. If the requirements of the VO grow then we would move them towards using the GridPP DIRAC instance. The Tier-1 is obviously not the only site that can onboard new communities and often the site that the VO contact is based is the best place to introduce people to the Grid. We should therefore try and align the services we offer. I would appreciate feedback on my plans for the Tier-1, I want people to feel that this will benefit all GridPP sites.

this is how we did it with LSST. First direct access and then Dirac, then file catalogue. I cannot say they appreciated it considering they are showing around a "post-mortem" which is one of the reason you are now sending this email.
