Particularly for NHS librarians...
I have recently been trying to run a systematic review search on Medline and PsycInfo via Proquest. While managing better than HDAS, it still seems to fall over in a heap with large and complex searches. I understand there is a 'professional' platform which is better suited to carrying out research but it isn't the one we have access to!
How does anyone else manage carrying out large and complex searches to support systematic reviews (or other research)? I presume you still use Medline, and PsycInfo if appropriate... there must be a way to support research from NHS libraries, surely. Do you get a separate sub to Ovid?? Is there some magic way of getting Proquest to work that I've missed? Or is this just a wider problem that we're all struggling with?
Many thanks in advance for satisfying my curiosity, or for any practical tips!
Katie
