Dear colleagues,
I am happy to announce the Third International Seminar on the Material
Culture of Physics. The seminar will be funded by the Wilhelm and Else
Heraeus Foundation. There is a theoretical e-learning section, and a
practical hands-on attendance section, which will take place from
February 18th to 22nd 2019 at the Deutsches Museum in Munich. There the
students will learn how to work with historical instruments in the
environment of the museum. Accomodation will be funded as well as
travelcosts up to 80€ for students from Germany, and up to 300€ for
students from abroad.
The seminar is intended for Master students and PhD students in the
History of Science and Technology, Physics, and Didactics of Physics,
but we would also like to encourage trainees in science museums to apply
