Team Leader in Clinical Trials and Statistics, The Institute of Cancer Research
Following the successful renewal of the CRUK core programme grant in 2018, ICR-CTSU are looking to expand their statistical and methodology leadership team. Based at the Sutton site, the new ICR-funded Career Development Faculty post will take responsibility for a component of the ICR-CTSU portfolio of clinical trials research. S/he will further develop and grow the portfolio in line with the Unit’s overall strategy and take responsibility for a number of ongoing trials as well as the development of new trials.
ICR-CTSU seek an experienced medical statistician with a research interest in clinical trials methodology and a passion for direct involvement in the oversight and leadership of academic clinical trials. The post holder will be expected to make a substantial independent intellectual contribution to clinical trial projects and be proactive in leading and contributing to broad initiatives that enhance the overall effectiveness of ICR-CTSU. In partnership with clinical opinion leaders, s/he will generate research funds to conduct and deliver clinical trials research at the international forefront. S/he will demonstrate the scientific expertise, independent intellectual contribution, creative scientific problem-solving and drive to develop into a future internationally renowned trial methodology leader.
