Selection announcement for the awarding no. 1 research grant (type A) within the Project of Excellence “Statistical methods and models for complex data”.

The research grant (24 months contract) is funded by the Department of Statistical Sciences within the Project of Excellence “Statistical methods and models for complex data” and the grantee will be involved in the following activities:
- Specification of statistical models to answer needs that originates in applied frameworks, independently from the reference applied fields such as, process control, quality evaluation, forecasting variables of interest, analysis of spatial or geolocalized data etc.;
- Study of appropriate statistical methods for the analysis of complex data to answer research problems that originate from the region (companies, public bodies, professional associations), possibly collected through the unit FAR@STAT (Statistical training analysis and research) of the Department of Statistical Sciences, or from the academia;
- Creation of technical and disseminating documents that containg the details of the research activities conducted for a diffusion of results within the academic field as well as in the production and social fields;
- Promoting and disseminating the services of the FAR@STAT unit.
The grantee is expected to have knowledge of the Italian language, needed for the FAR@STAT activities, and knowledge of the English language.
The grantee is expected to be oriented toward (or to have previous experiences in) applied statistical analyses and research on complex data, possibly related to consulting services, and the dissemination of research results to a non specialized audience.
