Statistician / Data Scientist, FFT Education, London (Westminster)
We are looking for a statistician or data scientist, with experience of non-experimental evaluation methods, to join the increasingly busy FFT Education Datalab team. This is an exciting time to work at FFT, we are continually developing our Aspire system and have recently added the powerful Analytics data analysis tool to the list of products that we deliver. The Datalab team provides research and statistical consultancy to a range of clients including the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF).
Reporting to the Chief Statistician, you will carry out research and analysis of educational policies, interventions and programmes. A large part of the role will involve undertaking impact evaluations using non-experimental methods and administrative data from the National Pupil Database (NPD). These will typically be interventions or programmes that aim to improve attainment, but may also improve other outcomes, such as attendance. Interventions and programmes may be aimed at all pupils within a school (or a year group within a school) or targeted at individuals. You will also contribute to the development of reports and analysis for schools in Aspire, including improving existing processes where appropriate. Translate customer requirements into report design.
