Engagement Coordinator – Open University in Wales
We are looking for a creative and organised person to join our growing team in Wales. You’ll deliver an exciting new project that will showcase The Open University’s research, learning materials and our collaboration with partners, such as the BBC across Wales. The Open University in Wales is continuing to expand and grow our profile, and it’s a really exciting time to be joining us.
We have a new project funded by the Higher Education Funding Council for Wales (HEFCW) to enhance our presence in communities, schools and with partner organisations. You’ll design and deliver a programme of outreach events across Wales which will showcase our expertise, as well as an online learning resource for school governors in Wales. You’ll also establish a social mobility practitioners’ network and work with other organisations towards common goals.
You’ll have experience of planning events, building partnerships and engaging with communities. You’ll also need project management skills and be able to evaluate this work.
The ability to communicate through the medium of Welsh, or a willingness to undertake Welsh language tuition would be desirable though not essential.
