The 5th Internacional Symposium Fusions in Cinema will take place between 23rd and 24th November 2018, in São João da Madeira, with the support of the Town Council of São João da Madeira.
This 5th edition of the Symposium will be co-organized by the Caminhos Film Festival and the Unity of Development of the Centers of Local Learning of the Universidade Aberta. All the proposals of works will be reviewed by the peers through blind-review, guaranteeing the exemption and impartiality of the evaluation. The works submitted will be published in a book of minutes and the most relevant will be published in a future number of the ICONO14 editorial. The deadline for reception of proposals of communications is until September 15.

Teachers, investigators, invited speakers, specialists and artists of different areas analyze, in this 5th Internacional Symposium, the current artistic and educational practices, the new roles of the different agents involved in the creative and operative dynamics of art, education and culture nowadays.

THEMATIC LINES
The Caminhos Film Festival and the Universidade Aberta invite you to submit your proposals of communication, in Portuguese, English or Spanish, that don’t exceed the 1500 characters (including spaces), in the following themes (that could be extended to other) of the Symposium:

LINE 1 - THE FUSION OF ARTS IN CINEMA
The relationship between the different arts and cinema: -Architecture; -Literature/Argument; - Interpretation/-Performance; -Music; -Photography; -Fine Arts

LINE 2 - CINEMA AND TECHNOLOGY
The technological evolution and the way Cinema arrives to the audience: -Subtitling, dubbing and audio-description; -The new technologies, Internet and cinema; -The supports, formats and the new media;

LINE 3 - CINEMA, INVESTIGATION AND EDUCATION
Cinema in different pedagogic environments (online and in person); Cinema and Investigation in the educational context; Practices of Cinema in School; Cinema and the new technologies in education; Cinema and Social Networks in formal and informal contexts of learning; Production  of Audiovisual objects of learning with educational purposes using the cinematographic language.

LINE 4 - CINEMA AND TELEVISION
Theoretical approaches, about the audiovisual production in general, including all the genres and platforms of diffusion, framing it in a contemporary context nacional and internationally;
The analysis of the relations between implementation and production of cinematographic and television contents; Cinema and Television parallel ou interconnected worlds.
All the teachers are invited to participate (without communication), with no costs associated, in the Symposium. The registered can have access to a Certificate of Formation, given by the CCPFC with 1 credit for teachers of Basic and Secondary Education with the title “Fusões no Cinema”. The Symposium will have a duration of 25 hours: 10 hours will be presencial, on the 23rd and 24th November, and 15 hours will be online in the following week, with conferences from international specialists in a virtual environment.

COMMUNICATION PROPOSALS
The proposals of communication to present must include a definition and delimitation of the object of the investigation; the scientific relevance and pertinence of the proposal; the objectives and the methodology of the investigation/analysis used; the main bibliographic references, and three to five key-words. Each proposal of communication must equally by submitted with a biography of the author(s) with the maximum length of 750 characters (with spaces).
Each applicant can present more than one proposal of communication, and the communications can be presented in joint authorship. All the communications must have the maximum duration of 20 minutes, regardless of the number of co-authors or the number of communications per line/panel.


INSTRUCTIONS FOR ARTICLE SUBMISSIONS
In its final version the article must have the following requirements:
-Title in Portuguese or Spanish and English; Identification of the author(s) and Identification of the institution to which the author belongs to and the respective nationality;
-An abstract with a maximum length of 1500 characters (with spaces) in Portuguese or Spanish and English and Five key-words in the chosen language;
-The Body of the Article must have between 20 000 and 50 000 characters(with spaces) Written in one of the official languages of the Symposium (Portuguese, Spanish or English);
-The images and tables must be sent in ‘jpg’ with 300 dpi of resolution. The images must be sent inserted in a Word document and in a separate file with a legend correspondent to the Word document.
-The bibliographical references must respect the 6th edition of the APA Style.

O 5.º Simpósio Internacional Fusões no Cinema irá decorrer entre 23 e 24 de novembro de 2018, em São João da Madeira, com o apoio da Câmara Municipal de São João da Madeira.
Esta 5.ª edição do Simpósio será co-organizada pelos Caminhos do Cinema Português e pela Unidade de Desenvolvimento dos Centros Locais de Aprendizagem (UMCLA) da Universidade Aberta, sendo que todas as propostas de trabalhos apresentados passarão por um processo de revisão por pares, realizado sob a forma de análise cega (blind-review), de modo a garantir a isenção e imparcialidade da avaliação. Os trabalhos submetidos serão publicados em livro de actas sendo que os trabalhos mais relevantes serão publicados num número futuro da ICONO14 editorial. O prazo para a recepção de propostas de comunicações decorre até 15 de setembro.

Docentes, investigadores, oradores convidados, especialistas e artistas de diferentes áreas analisam, neste 5.º Simpósio Internacional, as atuais práticas artísticas e educativas, os novos papéis dos diferentes agentes envolvidos na dinâmica criativa e operativa da arte, da educação e da cultura hoje.

LINHAS TEMÁTICAS
Os Caminhos Film Festival e a Universidade Aberta convidam-no a submeter propostas de comunicação, em português, inglês ou castelhano, que não excedam os 1500 caracteres (incluindo espaços), nas seguintes linhas temáticas (que poderão ser alargadas a outras) do Simpósio:

LINHA 1 – A FUSÃO DAS ARTES NO CINEMA
As relações entre as diferentes artes e o cinema: -Arquitetura; – Literatura /Argumentismo; – Interpretação /Representação; – Música; – Fotografia; – Artes Plásticas.

LINHA 2 – CINEMA E TECNOLOGIA
A evolução tecnológica e a forma como o Cinema chega ao Espectador: -A legendagem, dobragem e audiodescrição; -As Novas tecnologias, Internet e cinema; -Os suportes, formatos e os novos media;

LINHA 3 – CINEMA, INVESTIGAÇÃO E EDUCAÇÃO
Cinema em diferentes ambientes pedagógicos (online e presenciais); Cinema e Investigação em Contexto Educativo; Práticas de Cinema na Escola; Cinema e Novas Tecnologias em Educação; Cinema e Redes Sociais em Contextos Formais e Informais de Aprendizagem; Produção de Objetos de Aprendizagem (OA) Audiovisuais com Fins Educativos e recorrendo à Linguagem Cinematográfica.

LINHA 4 – CINEMA E TELEVISÃO
Abordagens teóricas, sobre a produção audiovisual em geral, incluindo todos os géneros e plataformas de difusão, enquadrando-a num contexto contemporâneo nacional e internacional; A análise das relações entre realização e produção de conteúdos cinematográficos e televisivos; Cinema e Televisão mundos paralelos ou interligados.
Convidam-se todos os docentes a participar (sem comunicação), gratuitamente, no Simpósio, sendo que os inscritos poderão ter acesso a um Certificado de Formação acreditado pelo CCPFC com 1 crédito para professores dos Ensinos Básico e Secundário com o título “Fusões no Cinema”. O Simpósio terá uma duração de 25 horas, sendo que 10 horas serão presenciais, nos dias 23 e 24 de novembro e 15 horas serão em ambiente online na semana seguinte, com conferências em ambiente virtual de especialistas internacionais.

PROPOSTAS DE COMUNICAÇÃO
As propostas de comunicação a apresentar devem incluir a definição e delimitação do objeto  de estudo da investigação; a relevância e pertinência científica da proposta; os objetivos e a metodologia da investigação/análise utilizada; principais referências bibliográficas, e três a cinco palavras chave. Cada proposta de comunicação deve igualmente ser submetida com uma biografia do(s) autor(es) com até 750 carateres (incluindo espaços).
Cada proponente poderá apresentar mais do que uma proposta de comunicação, sendo que as comunicações poderão ser apresentadas em co-autoria. Todas as comunicações terão a duração máxima de 20 minutos, independentemente do número de co-autores ou do número de comunicações por linha/painel.


INSTRUÇÕES PARA A SUBMISSÃO DE ARTIGOS
Na sua versão final o artigo deverá preencher os seguintes requisitos:
– Título em Português ou Castelhano e Inglês;
– Identificação do(s) autor(es) e  Identificação da instituição a que pertence e respetiva nacionalidade.
– Resumo até 1500 caracteres (incluindo espaços) em Português ou Castelhano e Inglês, indicando cinco palavras-chave; 
– O Corpo do Artigo deverá ter entre 20 000 e 50 000 caracteres (incluindo espaços) e escrito numa das línguas oficiais do II Simpósio (Português, Castelhano ou Inglês)
– O formato a utilizar devera ser o ‘doc’; ‘docx’; ‘rtf’;
– As imagens e tabelas devem ser enviadas em ‘jpg’ com 300 dpi de resolução. As imagens devem ser enviadas inseridas no documento Word e num ficheiro à parte com a legenda correspondente do documento Word.
– As Referencias Bibliográficas deverão respeitar a Norma APA – 6ª Edição.
