Triad is currently seeking an experienced GIS Specialist for our Central London client. The role is an initial 1 year fixed term contract.
The role;
To provide GIS support to business critical activities and projects through utlisation of appropriate tools, provision of data, analysis and outputs to appropriate timescales and quality. The role involves working with stakeholders to establish spatial solutions and thus communication skills and an ability to build and maintain effective business relationships is required. The position includes ownership and development of tools to support business activities.
Essential functions of the job:
•Provide GIS support to all portfolios.
•Ensure GIS data, analysis and outputs are delivered to appropriate timescales and quality and in the most appropriate format.
•Develop an operational and strategic knowledge of the Central London, Regional and Rural portfolios to better support, and deputise for, the GIS Business Partner.
•Undertake proximity checks to identify the spatial implications of proposed new developments on existing assets and external stakeholders.
•Produce maps, plans and charts at various scales for a range of audiences and purposes.
•Be the product owner for GIS analysis tools (management, maintenance and development), ensuring they are appropriately deployed and realise maximum value.
•Seek opportunities to deliver GIS outputs through automation and self-service tools.
•Utilise GIS analysis and modelling tools to provide unique insights about our assets and development opportunities.
•Adhere to GIS processes and procedures to ensure consistency of outputs within the team.
•Ensure all GIS data about current assets and future opportunities is maintained to a high standard, in line with GIS team quality procedures.
•Plan workload effectively to meet deadlines and work with the GIS Business Partners for your portfolio to understand prioritisation of requests.
•Build stakeholder relationships and promote self-service GIS solutions wherever possible.
•Work with Managing Agents to ensure smooth, two way, transfer of GIS data information and knowledge.
•Digitise and capture spatial and attribute data using appropriate GIS tools.
Experience required:
Proven experience in the following areas:
•Managing, maintaining and developing GIS tools to provide insightful analysis.
•Managing variable workloads and prioritising tasks.
•Producing high-quality outputs that deploy the most appropriate GIS tools and techniques so that valuable and relevant outputs are produced.
•Making use of improved GIS dissemination tools, such as ArcGIS Online, to deliver clear outputs to the business.
•Utilising Python scripting and other configuration tools to automate common workflows.
•Good understanding of different portfolios, particularly the Central London, Regional and Rural portfolios, and how GIS adds value to our business.
•Ownership and successful delivery of projects.
•Interpreting a range of sources such as historic and contemporary maps and deeds, plans, coordinates, admiralty charts or aerial photography.
•Building relationships with stakeholders (internal & external)
•Confident in communicating with staff at all levels as well as external stakeholders
•Excellent approach to customer service.
•Able to demonstrate behaviours which show taking personal responsibility and service orientation.

Skills required:
•BSc/MSc Geographical Information Systems/Science (GIS) or related studies.
•An advanced knowledge of ESRI desktop.
•Detailed understanding of ESRI geoprocessing tools and how datasets are manipulated.
•Good knowledge of Central London, Regional and Rural portfolios.
•Good knowledge of Python and/or other configuration tools..
•Good knowledge of the full range of third party terrestrial datasets.
•Experience of GIS related data analytical software, such as Insights for ArcGIS or ArcGIS Maps for Power BI desirable
•Expert knowledge of metadata, relevant standards and projections and transformations.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to work as part of a team.
•Good organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines and priorities.
•Flexible, enthusiastic and approachable working style, willing to try new ideas.
The role offers a salary range of £32-£38k per annum along with a benefits package.
