Fisher Centenary

Meeting to celebrate the centennial of R.A. Fisher’s famous 1918 paper on the theory of quantitative trait inheritance:
100 years of quantitative genetics theory and its applications: celebrating the centenary of Fisher 1918
This meeting is sponsored by the Fisher Memorial Trust, the Genetics Society, the Galton Institute, the London Mathematical Society and the Royal Statistical Society.
It will be held at the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh
Speakers
There are 8 invited speakers, with the Fisher Memorial Lecture at 5pm, followed by a reception to which all participants are invited.
In addition, 4 early career speakers and up to 30 posters will be selected from submitted abstracts by the organising committee.
The early career speakers will be offered bursaries of £250 by the Fisher Memorial Trust, to cover travel and accommodation costs.
Deadlines
Abstracts for early career talks and posters should be submitted online by Friday 24 August (extended deadline). If you wish to be considered for an early career talk please send an email request to Brian Charlesworth.
Registration will close on Friday 21 September (or sooner if the maximum capacity of 300 is reached)
