Multiple postdoctoral positions are currently available in the
laboratory of Dr. Yannick Jacob at Yale University (Department of
Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology).
The research in the laboratory is centered on the study of how
epigenetic mechanisms regulate genome stability using Arabidopsis as a
model system. In addition, we have numerous projects related to how we
can improve, develop and apply genome engineering tools like CRISPR/Cas9
in model plants (e.g. Arabidopsis) and economically important crops
(Citrus species).
Highly motivated individuals with computational and/or experimental
skills are welcome to apply. The ability and inclination to work as part
of a team is very important.
Experience with mapping and quantifying sequencing reads from
next-generation sequencing in the context of RNA-seq or ChIP-seq
experiments would also be a plus.
In addition, experience working with Citrus species would be an asset,
but it is not required.
The funding for these positions is provided by a combination of external
(NIH MIRA Award and Citrus Research Board Award) and internal (Brown
Postdoctoral Fellowship, Yale University) funding sources.
