Who are we looking for?
An enthusiastic and highly skilled Senior Automation Tester / Developer in Test to join our aggressively growing Development team in Cambridge.
What will you do?
You will be working as part of our test team to inspire, guide and mentor our development group in the latest testing practices. You will contribute to system-wide design and test decisions, across many products and customers, liaising with product owners, developers and other testers to ensure solutions meet the stakeholder requirements. As a senior tester in our team you will gain experience in a variety of platforms spanning across desktop, mobile and web applications.
Our teams of product managers, architects, developers and testers work together in a highly collaborative Agile environment focusing on continuous integration and delivery, supported by our fully automated test suite. This allows everyone in our team to operate in a modern development environment with up to date processes as part of their daily work.
Required Skills and Experience:
Focus on automated testing and quality
Self-motivated team player with strong problem solving and communication skills
Proven knowledge of the fundamental concepts of software testing
Agile Software Development experience
Working knowledge of object-oriented languages, such as Java, C#, C++, Python, and/or scripted languages, such as JavaScript, VBScript and Ruby
Familiarity with continuous integration environment and build tools (Jenkins/Hudson ,TeamCity ,Maven, Gradle)
Experience using automated testing tools like xUnit, Selenium, RestAssured or SoapUI
Experience in subversion tooling (GIT,SVN)
Desired Skills and Experience:
Proven troubleshooting, and debugging skills
Passionate about continuous improvement and craftsmanship
Strong initiative to improve tools, methodologies, and overall quality of the product
Experience in deployments\configuration of distributed systems is advantageous
Database testing experience
Ability to create clean, well-structured test code
