Hi everyone,
List members may be interested in funding that is available from the Society for Post-Medieval Archaeology to carry out community engagement activities. Up to £500 is available annually, deadline 15th September. (Please note that the deadline has moved from the 1 March).
Full details are on the Society's website
http://www.spma.org.uk/prizes-and-grants/community-award/
but in brief,
the award is to support individuals, groups and societies in developing new public-facing initiatives, whether one-off events, programmes of activities, digital archaeology or other creative outputs. Applicants need not be members of the Society. Applicants can apply as individuals, or on behalf of any group, institution and organization, from within the UK and from overseas. Post-medieval archaeology and community engagement must be a core aspect of the proposal. Priority will be given to the development of new initiatives rather than the funding of established activities.
The Society covers the archaeology of the post medieval period up to the present day.
If you're interested the application form is available to download on the Society website.
