Dear colleagues,

Allie Dillon
City Archivist, Bristol Archives
Unlocking Our Sound Heritage, funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund, is led by the British Library in conjunction with national and regional partners across the UK. The project teams will digitally preserve almost half a million endangered sound recordings from across the UK and make 100,000 available online, raising the profile of sound archive collections in the process.
Bristol Culture is the hub for the South West of England. Over three years, we will digitise 5,000 physical sound items, from our own collections and other collections in the region. The digitised recordings will then be used in a creative programme of learning and engagement activities. We are one of 10 hubs recruiting project staff for this exciting project in Aberystwyth, Belfast, Brighton, Bristol, Glasgow, London, Leicester, Manchester, Newcastle and Norwich during 2018.
These are three-year, fixed term roles.
