Dear Colleagues
The Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research has a summer job
opportunity, details below. It is not a typical science communication
job but could be a great opportunity for anyone looking at a future
career in science policy or research management.
The Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research (SCAR) coordinates
international scientific research in the Antarctic region and provides
objective and independent scientific advice to the Antarctic Treaty
Consultative Meetings and other organisations such as the UNFCCC and
IPCC. SCAR is looking for temporary administrative support on a
half-time basis starting as soon as possible and continuing till the end
of September. The location of work will be SCAR's offices at the Scott
Polar Research Institute,Cambridge. Remote working is not possible but
hours can be flexible. It is currently envisaged that the main focus
will be updating the SCAR website (www.scar.org). We are looking for
someone who is IT literate with good written communication. Experience
of website management would be an advantage. Anyone interested please
mail [log in to unmask] with your CV and details of your availability.
Many thanks!
Dr Chandrika Nath
Executive Director
SCAR
