Where pattern meets chaos is a space where conventional subject boundaries become re-aligned and inter-disciplinary is a given. This symposium aims to inform current practices and critical positions in art and design through a focus on processes which address relationships between pattern and chaos. Such dialogues might be envisaged as real and/or imaginary, as science and/or art, as messy and/or composed; what matters is their effect in developing innovative forms of materialization and/or provoking new ways of knowing.
