The data was acquired a few years ago, so unfortunately we were unable to go back and correct the acquisition parameters.
The diffusion header data is given after co-registering the images with the T1 image via FLIRT. However, as you noted, the DWI images interpolate to the T1 image space, making the diffusion data a much higher resolution. I'm finding this has led to issues in the timing of processing steps, since the diffusion data interpolates to the T1 image space. Is there any way to account for this, or is that expected when co-registering to T1 scans?
