Dear wonderful walking artists,
A quick update on Beyond The Pedestrian: Walking in Research, Theory, Practice and Performance at The University of Liverpool on 26th July. This interdisciplinary symposium aims to bring together students, academics and anyone else interested in exploring work on walking that is more than pedestrian.
1 Booking is now open if you would like to join us for the day. Free tickets can be booked here https://tinyurl.com/beyondpedestrian
2 We have a small pot of money to contribute to travel costs for unfunded or low waged people to attend this event. If requests exceed funds priority will be given to PGRs within the NWSSDTP and / or people contributing to the event. Please email Dr Morag Rose [log in to unmask] by 22nd June if you would like to apply for help towards your travel. We want this event to be as inclusive and open as possible so also get in touch if you have other specific access needs and we will do our best to help.
3 The Call for Papers, walks and creative interventions is open until 22nd June. We have received some really excellent proposals so far but would welcome more. Full details of how submit your proposal are here: https://tinyurl.com/beyondpedestrian
Please feel free to share this invitation with anyone you think may be interested. This promises to be a really fascinating and diverse event and we would love to welcome you to The University of Liverpool. Thanks to The School of Environmental Sciences for funding this event and to the Power, Space and Cultural Change Research Cluster in the Geography and Planning Department for their support.
Don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions, comments or need any more information
