Dear SPM experts,
I´m a new user of the CAT12 toolbox. My dataset consists of patients with focal brain lesions on which I want to perform a longitudinal VBM analysis but I first just processed a single subject.
Before tryng CAT12, I did the segmentation using a cost function mask of the lesion in the masking option of Old Segment and then used Old Normalise.
In CAT12, I set to 0 the voxels that contained the lesion in the T1 using ImCalc and then used the Segment Data button in the GUI with DARTEL.
When I compared the modulated normalised images from Old Seg/Norm and CAT12, I found that whereas OldSeg/Norm calculates the GM in the surroundings of the lesion, CAT12 ignores these Vx altogether. Here you can find an image with the comparison: https://drive.google.com/open?id=16ZP3PFelNgcDDeLEouDMqx9qXMffjNiO
If I want to compare GM vol between different time points, are both the outputs of OldSegwithCFM/Norm and CAT12 equivalent?
Thank you in advance for your help.
Best,
Noelia
