Hi Joy
Is using your own ears still acceptable?

Hi all
I can advise the following:
In accordance with BS EN ISO 8253-1:2010 section A, a daily routine validation check of your audiometer is required. This can be achieved either by using the Electro-Acoustic Ear or by using your own known audiogram.
You only need to carry out the check on the days the audiometer is being used.
I hope this helps :-)
Kind Regards,
Joy

Subject: [OCC-HEALTH] Verification/calibration
Hi all,
I know this has probably been discussed before but how often do people check the ‘verification’ of static audio equipment in a booth. I know equipment calibrations are annually which we do, but at present we check the Audio equipment weekly and I just wonder if that frequency is necessary or should we be doing daily???
Also what do people use to measure ambient noise levels? Can’t spend too much money on anything unfortunately.
Thanks all
Louise
Kind Regards
Louise
