The Condensed Phase Dynamics Group at the Center of Free-Electron Laser Science in Hamburg, Germany, is currently seeking a highly motivated, ambitious, and excellent candidate with a Master’s degree in Materials/Nanoscience, Chemistry, Physics, or closely related areas for a doctoral position on dynamics of functional materials (solvated transition-metal complexes and nanoparticle systems).
The project involves ultrafast optical and X-ray spectroscopy within the collaborative research center on light-induced dynamics and control of correlated quantum systems (SFB 925). The successful candidate will plan, perform and lead experimental efforts on optical femtosecond spectroscopy as well as experiments at synchrotron radiation facilities and femtosecond X-ray sources in collaboration with local and international partner groups.
