Dear all,
A quick note to update you on the 2018 Altmetrics Conference! The event will take place at the School of Advanced Study in London on the 26-27 September.
Now in it's 5th year, the conference brings together an engaged group of institutions, researchers, publishers, funders and others from across the scholarly space to discuss all things altmetrics - more info at http://www.altmetricsconference.com/.
The call for proposals closes next Monday (28th May), and we invite submissions on the following topics (or anything you'd like to suggest):
- Research Evaluation and the REF: what role should Altmetrics play?
- Moving Beyond the Numbers: how can or are we moving beyond the numbers to explore the idea of impact?
- Acting on the Data: cases studies from real users of altmetrics
- Arts and Humanities: what impact are altmetrics currently having in this space and where might we go next?
- Gaming, #Fakescience and Ethics: what role does the altmetrics community have to play here? How can individuals convey authority, how do institutions and publishers communicate validity?
- Sentiment Analysis: how could this help users of altmetrics?
- Annotations: should they be added to Altmetrics and what would this mean?
Please submit your proposals at https://bit.ly/2KDeS30 - we look forward to welcoming you to London!
Kind regards,
Cat
