I thought this might be of interest to WAN members.
As part of my practice-led PhD research, I'm leading a walk in Leamouth and Silvertown on 16 May, from 2pm to 5pm. Starting at East India DLR station, we'll be searching for traces of the colonial in an area that was once an engine of empire and is now facing rapid transformation. What can we discover about time, change, memory and power by walking, listening and observing?
This is one of a series of events organised by PhD students in the Visual Cultures department at Goldsmiths to share our research – but you don't have to be a student or academic, it's open to anyone who's interested.
It's free to register: Eventbrite link here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/ghost-signs-and-power-lines-a-walking-workshop-tickets-45803786358
