>>> With apologies for cross-posting <<<
Dear colleagues,
This is a final reminder regarding this year's 5th Smart Urban Policy Futures workshop organised by the Connected Cities research group at the University of Greenwich, London.
We are glad to report that we have already received a number of excellent abstracts relating specifically to topics in the realm of transport policy and technology, urban energy and water services, as well as some requests for extension of the deadline for abstract submissions. In light of these requests, we have decided to extend the deadline for abstract submissions until coming Tuesday the 22nd of May 2018.
To remind you, the 5th SUPF workshop is set to take place from July 9th -10th 2018, at the University of Greenwich, Maritime Campus, and for the first time we are planning an additional day (July 11th) to accommodate training events and site visits - details to be confirmed.
This year's workshop sets out to explore what connects cities and what makes cities important places for people, businesses and other organisations.
We particularly encourage submissions from academics and practitioners alike on topics such as:
* Urban infrastructure systems and utilities: Transport, energy, water, waste, communications
* Health, wellbeing and the movement of people and goods in cities
* Logistics, closed-loop supply chains, circular economy
* Sustainable urban enterprise, urban business ecosystems
* Governance and policy
For more specific information please check the call for contributions through the following link (https://wp.me/P3b0nY-lQ?) on our blog, where you will be able to register to attend as well as submit your abstract (https://wp.me/P3b0nY-g).
Consider subscribing to our blog as we will be posting more information on the event as details are finalised.
We look forward to receiving your submission and to welcoming you in Greenwich this summer.
On behalf of the organising committee,
