Dear all,
University of Oslo is advertising two fully-funded 3-year postdoc positions at its Department of Social Anthropology that might be of interest.
The postdocs will be part of “Life Cycle of Container Ships” - a project led by associate professor Elisabeth Schober that is funded by the Norwegian Research Council.
We are looking for candidates with a solid understanding of maritime anthropology and the anthropology of work.
One postdoctoral fellow to be recruited will primarily conduct fieldwork on shipping- and seafaring-related issues, while the second postdoctoral fellow will conduct fieldwork on the ship-breaking industry (to complement Schober’s work on shipbuilding).
Application deadline is 31st May, 2018.
Further details on the positions and how to apply are provided below:

With best wishes,
Elisabeth
