Dear all
Call for expressions of interest
Geography at Newcastle invites expressions of interest for Horizon 2020 Marie Sklodowska-Curie individual fellowships. The goal of the Individual Fellowships is to enhance the creative and innovative potential of experienced researchers, wishing to diversify their individual competence in terms of skill acquisition through advanced training, international and intersectoral mobility.
Individual Fellowships provide opportunities to researchers of any nationality to acquire and transfer new knowledge and to work on research and innovation in Europe (EU Member States and Horizon 2020 Associated Countries) and beyond. The scheme particularly supports the return and (re)integration of European researchers from outside Europe and those who have previously worked here, as well as researchers displaced by conflict outside the EU and Horizon 2020 Associated Countries. It also promotes the career restart of individual researchers who show great potential. These Fellowships can also include a secondment period of up to 3 or 6 months in another organisation in Europe, where this would boost the impact of the fellowship. This scheme is meant to support the best, most promising individual researchers from anywhere in the world.
Only experienced researchers can apply. This means you will have your doctoral degree or at least four years' full-time research experience by the time of the call deadline (12 September 2018). See pages 13-16 here:
http://ec.europa.eu/research/participants/data/ref/h2020/wp/2018-2020/main/h2020-wp1820-msca_en.pdf
Applications must be jointly made by the researcher and the host organisation and supervisor. The final submission deadline to the scheme is 12 September 2018, however, you will need to be working on your application well in advance of this deadline.
