In the division of Epidemiology and Biometry in the School of Medicine
and Health Sciences of the Carl von Ossietzky University Oldenburg we
are looking for a
*Statistician / Biometrician (female / male)*
starting on the 01.05.2018 (or earliest possible) with a 75% position
(TV-L E13) limited to 3 years. The position is offered within the
project of the German Research Foundation (DFG) “Distributional
Regression for times-to-event”.
Your tasks:
·Development of statistical models for semiparametric distributional
regression for censored times-to-event
·Use of frequentist, Bayesian and Boosting inference methods
·Practical programming and publication of the methods as an R package
·Analysis of survival times in clinical data sets from the University
hospitals in Oldenburg
·Publication of developed methods and clinical analyses
·Participation in teaching in the division of Epidemiology and Biometry
Your profile:
·Requirements
-University degree inBiometry, Statistics, Mathematics or comparable,
alternatively an unrelated degree and multiple years experience in Biometry
-Methodological knowledge in Biometry and Epidemiology
-Refined knowledge in the statistical programming language R
-Good knowledge of the English language
·Optional
-Independent work, enjoying teamwork
-Good communication skills, knowledge of the German language
-Documented scientific interest (e.g. publications, grant applications)
-Experience in cooperation with clinical partners
-Knowledge of the programs SAS and SPSS
