**Apologies for cross posting**
Dear list members,
I am writing to draw your attention to the pre-conference PGR/ECR Student Masterclass aligned to the 'Still Images in War Conference since 1945' at Manchester Metropolitan University, May 23-25.
Due to some travel difficulties, a handful of student places have become available.
The pre-conference student masterclass will focus on visual methods and discussions related to the analysis of conflict images, their circulation, function and power in society for different constituents, amongst a host of other related matters. The workshop outline is here:
http://www.art.mmu.ac.uk/events/2018/masterclass-on-pictures-and-conflicts/
Please note there is a new addition to the day - Dr. Paul Lowe (LCC) and Photojournalist, Louie Palu http://www.louiepalu.com/ will also be contributing to the day.
If students/PGRs/ECRs would like to attend, I have a number of discussed spaces for the Workshop & Conference. Submissions with a rationale as per the link above will be entitled to register for the masterclass and conf for £15.00 in total.
Please share to interested parties.
Registration for the main conference is open and the details can be found here. Information on the sessions and the accepted authors and titles will be published soon in addition to the already advertised Keynotes:

Thanks,
Gary
