Hi,
There are several ways of achieving the goal of throwing out autopicked edges.
1. The most straight forward: run 2D classifications, and toss out the edge classes. (In Relion, or Cryosparc)
2. I'm not sure what you mean by either of your questions, but it's fairly straight forward to manually pick ~1,000 particles and quickly generate 2D references.
Goodluck and happy processing.
Sincerely,
Jillian

I am now trying to use particle sorting to sort them on their CoordinateX and CoordinateY parameters so I can throw out the gold foil/hole edge picked at the extremes of the micrographs. However, the GUI will not allow me to execute particle sorting without providing an auto picking reference.
