Head of Archives Sector Development
Imagine a world without archives. Without records, we could not trace our ancestry, hold government and institutions to account or carry out pioneering medical research. Archives matter. They are also undergoing immense change - driven by the advent of digital, which is changing the fundamental nature of the record itself. There is an urgent need to develop new ways of working in response. This is an exciting time for The National Archives as it looks to implement the new vision for archives, Archives Unlocked, launched in 2017 with a focus on developing a sustainable and resilient archives sector.
The post of Head of the Archives Sector Development Department at The National Archives is a unique opportunity to play a key role at this crucial inflection point. We are looking for an individual with a track record of driving innovation and leading through change. You will be critical to help deliver TNA's leadership role for the whole archives sector, so we are looking for someone with energy, enthusiasm and determination, who is inspired by the opportunity to shape the future. Could this be you ?
