We are seeking a highly motivated Clinical Scientist in Biochemistry to join our enthusiastic team in the Blood Sciences department at Royal Derby Hospital, which also covers Chesterfield Royal Hospital.
The department provides a wide range of biochemical services for the Trust and Southern Derbyshire GP’s, serving a population of over 600,000. We have a fully integrated blood sciences service which includes an automated laboratory, specialist biochemistry with tandem mass facilities and haematology and immunology sections.
As the successful candidate you will have completed a 3 year pre-registration training programme in general clinical biochemistry and preferably be HCPC state registered as a clinical scientist or within a short period of achieving this. You will also be required to show progression towards FRCPath.
The post offers excellent training and career development opportunities and you will be a key member of the blood sciences team. There will be opportunities to develop expertise in and to contribute to the department’s audit, development, research and teaching programmes.
