Dear all,
Transport’s impact on the economy remains very relevant intransport planning. Now in its fourth year, the Institute for TransportStudies is pleased to offer a two day short course on Transport Infrastructureand Economics Performance. After attending this course transportprofessionals will:
• have a solid grasp of how, when, why and to what extent transportinfrastructure affects businesses and the economy,
• how and why different economy modelling methods give rise to differentpredictions of economy impacts,
• understand how to incorporate economic impacts into a transport costbenefit analysis, and
• the relationship between welfare and GDP appraisal metrics.
The course is suitable for transport economists, transportprofessionals working in the field of economic impacts and those who intend tobecome involved in this field and already have an understanding ofeconomics. It is suitable for consultants, government officials, academics and PhD students.
