Colleagues, or list-master, Mark Johnson, is in Athens and will send a motivational message to everyone next week, but has delegated the task to me as chairman of the Congress of sending some information.
We have 600 people registered from more than 50 countries and our target is 900, and with only 55 days to go we need your help. We have an enormously exciting programme with the top agencies, organisations and individuals gathering in Edinburgh.
The programme is on the website, as well as a summary outline, so you can see at a glance what is going on. There will be nine parallel sessions, so something for everyone. I am delighted to say that we now have CPD approval (18 points).
Many of you have probably already registered to be kept informed and therefore will be receiving our newsletters. Please help us by sending this information out to people you think will be interested in coming to the Congress. Every day, I am contacted by people telling me they had not heard about the Congress. We have been working hard at disseminating information but it is hard to reach everyone who needs to know. That is why we need your help in cascading, in particular, the URL to the web page.
In particular, we need to make sure we reach out to NGOs, health authorities and professionals working in the field. Generally, it is easier to reach academics and practitioners. This congress has put a strong emphasis on practice and policy, and not just research.
