The University of the West of Scotland is seeking two external panel members for the following scheduled validation event at Paisley Campus:
MSc Global Governance and Cultural Diplomacy on Tuesday 17th April 2018
The MSc Cultural Diplomacy and Global Governance seeks to provide a bridge between the two distinct, but connected, areas of cultural diplomacy and global governance. On a theoretical level, the programme will benefit from the interplay of distinct fields of inquiry, which are nonetheless directed at the largely shared goal of international cooperation and exchange. On a more applied level, the programme will help students wishing to work in the fields of diplomacy, international development, international NGOs, and intergovernmental institutions (a) understand global challenges through a cultural lens, and (b) situate cultural exchange in the context of global policy challenges and global governance.
The proposed programme has been developed out of the University’s recognised research and teaching strengths in the areas of politics, public policy, governance and government, and cultural studies. The programme is proposed to be delivered in partnership with the Institute for Cultural Diplomacy in Berlin.
Applicants should have a strong academic background in the field of cultural diplomacy, global governance or a related specialisation in the broader field of politics and international relations. Please contact Dr Maria Sapouna for further details: [log in to unmask] , tel: 01698 283 100
