University of Wolverhampton, Faculty of Arts is looking to recruit a new External Examiner for the following Undergraduate courses:
• FDa Creative Music Production + Distance Learning provision
• FDa Music Production + Distance Learning provision
The Undergraduate courses are run by the University in conjunction with a partner institution, Academy of Music and Sound.
The School of Performing Arts has an impressive history shaped by contemporary arts practice. Based in the landmark Performance Hub at Walsall Campus the School not only offers industry-standard equipment and magnificent rehearsal and performance spaces, but also boasts All-Steinway status, one of the first universities in the UK to do so.
Academy of Music and Sound has campuses in Edinburgh, Exeter, Gateshead, Glasgow and Southampton and teaches music education by professional musicians for students aged 16-19, through to undergraduate and postgraduate study preparing students for a career in the modern music industry with recognised music qualifications. They also provide online Distance Learning provision.
The External Examiner appointment will run from the 2018-19 academic year for a 4-year tenure.
The University of Wolverhampton will make the final decision on any appointment and will need to ensure there are no conflicts of interest with existing examiners.
