The 15th International Web for All Cross-Disciplinary Conference on Web Accessibility W4A 2018 (#w4a2018) is co-located with the 27th edition of the rebranded World Wide Web Conference. W4A 2018 and the wider ‘The Web Conference’, will take place in Lyon, France on April 23rd - 25th, at the Lyon Convention Centre.

SPECIAL EVENTS:

IBM People with Disabilities Award: W4A is happy to announce the IBM People with Disabilities Award. The award will reimburse the attendance costs for a limited number of students with disabilities and will introduce them to the community of W4A researchers and practitioners who are working to make Web, Mobile, and Wearable devices accessible for all. Posters: We are pleased to announce that this year there will be a Poster Competition on Tuesday, 24th April: http://www.w4a.info/2018/submissions/w4a-poster-competition/. While posters will generally act as a supplement to submissions to the main conference, in the spirit of inclusion, we also welcome submissions from delegates! Please ensure that you signify your intention to submit a poster to Dr Chris Bailey as soon as possible ([log in to unmask]).

W4A Unconference: On Wednesday, 25th April, delegates will have access to W4A informal ‘unconference’ activities. W4A brings together developers, researchers and practitioners from all over the world, many of whom share interests or are working on similar solutions to support accessibility for a range of users. We will provide a space to facilitate discussion, foster collaboration and build new relationships in the community among W4A delegates who are recognised experts in their field.

Whether it be a mini-hackathon for developers to investigate technical solutions to accessibility, a moderated group discussion to debate current or future trends in the field or a place for PhD students to share experiences and challenges, we invite you to actively contribute to the W4A conference program.

While topics and areas of interest can be suggested during the conference, we invite delegates to submit on-going projects and topics for discussion to be considered beforehand to enable us to maximise your benefit from these sessions.
