(PLEASE NOTE EARLY REGISTRATION DEADLINE DATE ==> 20 APRIL)
This second announcement contains updated information, as well as a
reminder, for the 15th Biennial HITRAN Conference (united with the 14th ASA Conference). The meeting will take place 13-15 June 2018 (starting on Wednesday), and will be held at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The Conference is a traditional meeting of users and contributors of atmospheric spectroscopic data that are primarily used in calculations and simulations of transmission and radiance in gaseous media.

$375 regular participant
$200 student
$200 SAO and Harvard employees
After 20 April, 2018
$475 regular participant

$250 SAO and Harvard employees
Registration covers the cost of the sessions, proceedings, and refreshments. It also includes lunches and one banquet ticket.
Banquet tickets ($75) for accompanying persons are available for purchase
separately.
Information about accommodations and directions is provided on the web site and will be updated, should alternative accommodation options become available.
ABSTRACTS
The style file and instructions for abstract preparation and submission will be provided in our conference web site in late February. The deadline for submission of abstracts is May 4, 2018.

ELSEVIER AWARDS
Nominations are open for candidates for the JQSRT Benedict and Brault Awards in spectroscopy and remote sensing. The Benedict Award is for a distinguished senior level scientist in the areas of quantitative spectroscopy and atmospheric remote sensing. The Brault Award is for a junior level scientist in quantitative spectroscopy. The closing date for nominations is March 15, 2018. The Awards will be presented at the HITRAN/ASA meeting in June 2018.
