Sorry Emma I should have been clearer.
New Box View replaced Crocodoc which, although not perfect, allowed tutors to download annotated work from Blackboard so that verifiers could be given exactly what they needed, without having to wade through the Grade Centre themselves. Tutors are now unable to download annotated work so IVs and EVs will have to be given tutor access and look at all work online....which, in itself, isn't the end of the world....but where Crocodoc used to display annotations to the side of an assignment, you now have to move your mouse over each comment in order to view it....which is pants.
We’re looking into a complete change of tactic and moving to annotated Word documents when marking but I was hoping that someone else might have any other sort of workarounds? I know that universities are able to take advantage of Turnitin but that isn't an option for us.
Cheers
sarah

Subject: Online Marking and Assessors
Hi there
This is our first year of moving to entirely online submission (where practical)...and it was going pretty well until NBV came on the scene.
We're working through the issues to do with this but I was wondering how other institutions deal with giving access to EVs. Because we are now unable to download annotated work, do you give EVs access with a special login? We don't want to give them full tutor access. How are they managing with not being able to see all comments at a glance but having to move to each individual comment to view it?
Any thoughts would be much appreciated.
Cheers
sarah
