For EPSRC eligible academics, the Catapult Researcher in Residence scheme is currently advertising the second round of opportunities. Research Councils UK is supporting the development of new collaborations through research visits/residencies for university (and other eligible research organisations) academics to spend time embedded within the Catapult teams. The call offers academics up to £50k to engage with one or more Catapults for up to four years. The grant goes direct from EPSRC to the university to cover the researchers’ salaries, travel and subsistence costs. The Transport Systems Catapult, (TSC) is inviting applications for three opportunities:
• Social/behavioural change research
• Intelligent transport services in association with the high Value Manufacturing and Satellite Applications Catapults
• Digital and data science complex systems in association with the Digital Catapult
The closing date for applications is Friday 23rd March 2018, with residencies starting from June 2018.
(We’d like interested academics to approach us and discuss their research ideas with us before applying.)
