----------
The deadline for submitting an abstract to participate to the 2nd Symposium on the Management of Future Motorway and Urban Traffic Systems (MFTS2018) is February 15th.
MFTS2018 aims to provide an opportunity to discuss with researchers, policy-makers, industry, and local authorities, how vehicle connectivity and automation can support the development of enhanced traffic management systems. Abstracts are therefore expected to introduce research activities and results having a direct or indirect role in this discussion.
Abstracts shall be prepared using the template available at the following link (https://ec.europa.eu/jrc/sites/jrcsh/files/mfts2018_abstract-template.docx) and shall be submitted to the FMB of the event: [log in to unmask] (mailto:[log in to unmask]).
Participation to the Symposium will be based on the review of the submitted abstracts. Selected abstracts will be collected in a JRC Report which will be published by the European Commission Publication Office.
The Symposium will be held on June 11-12, 2018 in the Italian premises of the European Commission Joint Research Centre (https://ec.europa.eu/jrc).
More information are available on the attached leaflet and on the event web-page (https://ec.europa.eu/jrc/en/event/conference/mfts2018).
Participants to the 15th IFAC Symposium on Control in Transportation Systems (http://www.cts2018.unige.it/) (Savona, June 6-8, 2018) can benefit from a shuttle service organized from Milan Central Railway Station to the Ispra area. Savona and the adjacent Cinque Terre Area are indeed connected with Milan by frequent direct trains.
On behalf of the organizing and scientific committees, I look forward to meeting you in Ispra.
Biagio
