The Centre for Research in Evolutionary, Social and Inter-Disciplinary Anthropology (CRESIDA) is seeking a social anthropologist for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position:

Knowledge of Swahili would be especially useful. The successful candidate will be able to develop their own research project within the remit of the project - particularly in the areas of cultural memory, indigenous understandings of the past, relationships with marine/maritime cultures. You will help with identifying potential areas of research, relating to the themes above, for 4 PhD projects that will form part of the overall project and work with other researchers in the team to explore issues relating to marine cultural heritage. This post is available on a fixed-term basis for 12 months.
