2 Post-doc positions 2018 – University of Nantes (France)
Position: Post-doc in computational chemistry, bioinformatics – 12 and 18 months starting as early as February 2018, applicant with a PhD obtained no more than 2 years ago.
Location: University of Nantes (France), CEISAM Laboratory (UMR CNRS 6230), ModES Team.
Project 1: The project focus is the computational design of non-invasive biomarkers of macromolecules targeting B regulator cells, crucial in immunology.
Project 2: The project, conducted in strong collaboration with biologists, is focussed on the Computational design of different protein/protein interaction modulators involved in various medical fields such as (auto)immune diseases or fungal diseases.
The applicant should have a PhD in Physics, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biophysics, Biology, Bioinformatics obtained no more than 2 years ago. Proven experiences in computational chemistry and molecular simulation techniques are prerequisites, whereas experience in scientific computing and programming are valuable assets. The post-doctoral associate will use a large panel of molecular modeling methodologies (virtual screening, classical molecular dynamics, replica exchange, sMD, free energy computations). The candidate should be motivated to work on topics at the interface of biology and chemistry in collaboration with experimentalists, should show initiative, have the ability to work independently and possess good oral and written communication skills. Applications and informal queries should be addressed to Adele LAURENT ([log in to unmask]). Interested candidates should send their CV, a cover letter describing their research interests and motivation, and the names of three persons willing to write a recommendation letter.
