The University of Tokyo is recruiting one research communications officer. Based in Tokyo, this is position is part of a team of four promoting the University of Tokyo’s research. The main role of this position is to write English press releases, and as one of the world’s top universities there is never a shortage of interesting research to write about. There will also be plenty of opportunities to work on outreach events and other related activities as time permits.

Annual salary is 4.8 million yen before deductions and is non-negotiable. The application deadline is 23 January 2018, with the successful applicant ideally starting in April 2018. The initial contract is for one year, renewable annually for a total of up to five years. Japanese language skills are not required.
