Hi - just a reminder, in case you missed it over the holidays, that the British Pharmacological Society is recruiting a fantastic role in our Education, Engagement & Policy team. Please see below for details:
The BPS is inviting applications for an Education, Engagement & Policy Officer. The role is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and talented professional to develop our policy initiatives, as part of a new and ambitious strategy.
The Society has a strong track record in policy work, involving regular responses to consultations alongside our programme of proactive activities. The latter includes campaign work in support of clinical pharmacology and the use of research animals. We are also proactive in public and sector engagement on the affordability of medicines and antimicrobial resistance.
Your ability to research and distill information will be an asset when it comes to driving our policy activity. You will be responsible for engaging with members and colleagues to research and compile responses. You will ensure efficiency in our processes and help develop creative ways to ensure engagement and impact. You will also help shape the direction and delivery of our proactive campaigns, which could be in collaboration with other Societies. There is opportunity and scope to develop this aspect of the role. The Education, Engagement & Policy Officer will be a key player in the future of the Society, and will also be a valuable member of the Education, Engagement and Policy team, providing administrative support to the department.
Your interest and awareness of current issues in education, research and medicine will underpin your success. Your attention to detail, written communication skills and ability to connect ideas through a flexible and inquisitive working style will help us improve impact through and for pharmacology.
